Diane is originally from the Midwest where she earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan.  She commenced her career as an Advertising Executive, yet kept close to the world of dogs through her ongoing work as a volunteer obedience trainer.   


She later re-located to the United Kingdom where she abandon her executive position and began working full time with dogs.  It was during this time she was mentored by some of the finest canine practitioners in the country, to include Colin Tennant, Ross McCarthy, Charlie Clarricoates, to mention only a few, eventually earning a Masters degree in the psychology of dog breed behaviour from Middlesex University, London, England.


She maintains a full membership from the Canine & Feline Behaviour Association (CFBA) of Great Britain and is the editor of the CFBA magazine, and selected American liaison for the Pet Education, Training & Education Council (PETbc).  She is certified through the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour & Training (CIDBT), where she is also distance tutor for Understanding Canine Behaviour & Care and Introduction to Pet Bereavement Counselling Skills - two of their accredited canine practicing professional programmes.  She is also the tutor for PETbc Advanced Canine Behaviour & Psychology Diploma.


Diane currently lives in Seattle, Washington USA and runs her own business, Continental Canine Behaviour, Ltd.,(www.dianekunas.com) as a canine practitioner dealing with everything from common to extreme canine behaviour problems, obedience training, puppy development, shaping & training, and general counselling.  Her work and people skills have earned her a wide and respected reputation with many long-term client relationships and a deep referral base.  In addition, Diane is also contracted by the following regional canine organizations:

Diane favours the Working group and bull breeds, with special passions for the Boxer and Mastiff types.  Today, her favorite teacher is her own Dogue de Bordeaux, Lolly.
