The aim of all pressure groups is to influence those who have the power to make decisions in government. PETbc’s aim is to make sure its members’ professional businesses, shared knowledge base and future prosperity are properly considered in any future changes in law and regulation of the pet industry.
It is crucial that the pet education industry, including dog training organisations, dog and cat behaviour practitioners, education course delivery institutions, colleges, institutes or other centres of teaching actively engage in the shaping of ALL future policy and legislation in Europe and the UK that affects them.
The dog education and training organisations are an inherent part of British pet services and have a long tradition and an enormous wealth of knowledge unsurpassed in any part of the world today. However, there is always the opportunity for our members’ services to improve or develop new techniques for improving the welfare of the pets clients keep, care for and train. Each member’s own performance and immediate connection to the pet owning public can continually contribute to an integrated knowledge base throughout Britain but requires further practice coding and legislation that allows the consumer to know what the various levels of competence are and how they work for them.
